"I loved that it was close to everything downtown. Food, historic sites and good shopping were within walking distance. I paid extra for a harbor view, but it was not much of a view. However the other side of the street was not too good."

"Great stay. Front desk very friendly. Not the greatest area but I slept well which was the main reason I stayed here and it was $100 cheaper than other places. "

"Chris at the front desk was great and at the Flying machine our hostess Rita was wonderful . The problem I had was since I went through Expedia to make reservations we had a set price per night and we decided one more night and the manager at the front desk would not give us the same price, so I called Expedia and they would not either so I had to pay also double for one night ."

"Very comfortable but not the cleanest place we’ve stay. Blackout curtains were great and we just stayed one night so perfect for what we needed. Very affordable"

"The WestMark in downtown Anchorage is much better than the other reviews would imply. This hotel was no frills, but a perfectly good hotel for a fair price. Would absolutely stay here again."

"It is right next to a river, and a very 1/3 mile walk uphill to downtown Anchorage and trolley tours. Glad we didn’t pick other hotels not near the downtown."
