Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi
10/10 Excellent
"If you want a luxurious place to stay in Hanoi, The Sofitel Metropole Hotel should be at the top of your list. Built in 1901, it retains echoes of the French colonial era. The service was excellent throughout; from the reception to the breakfast area, and our favourite, the pool bar!
Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a smart TV that allowed us to connect to various services such as Netflix and You Tube. One minor point to note for visitors from the UK - the power point accept UK plugs without an adaptor, which is very handy indeed!
This was our second visit to Hanoi. We stayed here for 7 days this trip and we were very sad to leave! Thank you to the all the staff at the Metropole; thank you Hanoi and thank you Vietnam. We will definitely be returning."
"We had a fantastic time here, the staff at this hotel have been absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi. "
"Had a wonderful stay at this hotel - the welcome from the team was personal and lovely, especially as I was travelling solo. I stayed in an Old Quarter Suite and it was perfect. Being in the heart of the Old Quarter the rooms are bijoux but still lovely and my room was at the back so overlooked other buildings but this made it quiet at night.
The pool area is tiny but fine for a quick cool off on a hot day. Breakfast is great. The massage at the spa one of the best I’ve ever had.
All in all great value, good location and lovely team."
"Amazing service, amazing room, amazing people.
Stayed there for my husband’s 50th and they went above and beyond.
Organised a cake, sang happy birthday, free welcome drink and mini bar then upgraded us to a bigger and better room at no cost.
Can’t wait to stay again"
"We had a wonderful three-night stay here. The location is absolutely perfect in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff were truly amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every time we entered the reception, we were greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality. The staff definitely made our stay very special. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend."
"We loved our stay here. Very walkable and convenient location. Great rooftop bar and breakfast which is included. Most of all the staff were amazing! Very helpful and went out of their way to provide the best experience. We left to the airport at 11 pm after checking out in the morning, and they kindly offered us a shower and chance to freshen up after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel!"
