We stayed at The Raeburn for one night on a recent trip to Edinburgh but wish we could have stayed a few more! The room was huge with lovely woodwork and a marble bathroom (the fixtures were top-notch with a huge tub, huge shower, double sink, and towel warmer). This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood without the mobs of tourists. The building is beautiful and quite sprawling. I was on the 2nd floor and had incredible views of Dean village. On clear days you can see quite far beyond the city into the mountains and sea. Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Everything was wonderful! from the kind and thoughtful hosts/owners to the breakfast to the comfy beds to the homemade shortbread!!!!

Amazing overall. Bed could be a little more Cush but overall great facilities and the cafe at the bottom is wonderful.

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

Close to the Edinburgh castle, and transportation to airport. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Elevator does not reach the 3rd floor, a wee annoying but not a problem for us.

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. This is a wonderful hotel. We will definitely stay here on future trips. The location is ideal and the employees so responsive. Then beds were super comfortable, I just wish they offered a top sheet in addition to the duvet for the weird Americans that are used to that. I'm sure we could have asked for one. Amazing, quaint hotel that also still serves as the Royal Scots Club. Located in a more quiet part of New Town, yet only a few blocks away from St. Andrews Square, Princes Street & Stockbridge. Hotel atmosphere might be a bit too settled for families with small children or younger partygoers & clubberers, everyone else who is looking for a nice and quiet retreat from the hectic and tourist filled city and a friendly, personal staff should not get disappointed.

While it was bizarre being above a shopping mall, the hotel was great. We stayed in a mobility-accessible room which was filled with thoughtful design choices. Loved having the kitchenette, too.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room large and well appointed. Steps from the central train station and literally across the street is the tr to the airport. Plenty of shops and restaurant options nearby. Walkable to historical sites. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot
