"This property is alright, if you are on a short stay. If you are staying for 3 or more days, I do not suggest as this is an unmanned property. I only got to know after booking was confirmed! There was no indication when I was booking! This is not friendly at all. Additionally, there were many small flies from my 2nd day onwards. I tried messaging property but response was slow. Had to get my local contact call them before they reacted. On top of that, when housekeeping was sent, a sloppy job...

"The house is much smaller, but is in a very nice neighborhood, and is surrounded by severel ammeneties to help with your visit, in a few minutes is a familymart and a 7-eleven, 5 minutes away is a grocery chain (Bel-X) and a Daiso, and the station thats 8 minutes away connects to a decent amount, with the easiest to access being Kita-Senju, allowing quick travel to most of the main areas, notably akihabara with the express liner. Bathroom and shower facilities are excellent. The hostel is very close to Nippori-Toneri Liner (station NT03) which gives very quick access to the JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo, so getting to and from central Tokyo is a quick commute.Best of all the hostel is inexpensive, so if you are a backpacker on a budget (or even a...

Hotel Gracery Shinjuku

10/10 Excellent

"This was a great place to stay. Close to the trains, lots of restaurants and shops, the bus to the airport, everything. Great home base and the Godzilla head makes it easy to recognize the hotel. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. I found it a great value. I would stay there again."

APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Ekimae Tower

10/10 Excellent

"The APA Hotel was a wonderful and convenient place to stay. It is a short walk from Ryogoku station, which made getting on the Chuo-Sobu line (JB) easy. From there, transferring to the Yamanote line (JY) with stops to lots of major hubs like Akihabara, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Harajuku simple. There is a 24 hour Lawson in the building which was very useful for late night cravings or quick bites. There is also a public bath. I didn't get a chance to use it, but the rooms come with yukata and slippers for guests to enjoy. The TV also has a live tracker for the crowdedness of the baths so you can easily tell when a good time to go is. There are not many free VOD options but the tvs support mirroring from your own devices. Staff is super helpful. Check in and out is almost fully self-service and has multiple language support. Cleaning is done every 3 days regardless of guest status so it's good to plan around it. I was bedridden on one of these days and just stepped out for a couple minutes while the staff turned the room over. Outside the hotel is a sumo arena if that's of interest. There are also two small public gardens, the sword museum, and some small bars and izakayas so there are plenty of options in the area if you choose to spend a day locally. Overall I would stay here again."

HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great location… airport limo bus drops you at the door. Room is very clean and spacious I only wish bathroom was a separate room but not a game changer. Found it kinda funny that if curtain used to divide shower area/hotel room, then the person showering can be seen from anyone by the beds and vice versa because its a clear glads wall. Lol. Starbucks is at the ground floor and lots of food and 7-11 close by.. 10 min walk to Shinjuku station."
