Just driving up to the Orchard Inn took my breath away. It's a beautiful, Victorian building in a mountain forest. When we walked inside we were immediately struck by the view across the room -- an enclosed veranda that overlooks amazing flowers and very busy birdfeeders with a stunning valley view beyond. Elegant old property with genteel overtones of upper crust grandeur.

Morning breakfast was very good and original. Beds and sheets and pillows excellent! A little pricey but that whole area is because of The Builtmore!

This inn is a must stay for the B&B lover. We;;-managed and kept by a lovely Inn Keeper, Monica. It is nestled on top of a hill and close to downtown festivities. The breakfast are simply amazing with a lot of attention to detail in the flavor of food. Highly recommend!!

I absolutely loved staying at The Lion and The Rose. It is a charming property with a rich history and lovely owners. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a complimentary glass of micro brewed beer and the utmost friendliness. After a short tour, I was escorted to my room. It was lovely- the fainting couch was more comfortable than my bed at home. Stately well appointed genteel and relaxed bed and breakfast ecperience. Wine on the porch at sunset with lovely variety of delicious breakfasts. Quiet street just a few minutes drive from the city center.

Incredible staff, super friendly. Kelly was the best and is a wonderful person. Forgot a few things and she gladly let me borrow. Owners were there every morning to talk and are also super nice. We definitely recommend and will be going back again. House is incredible!

I loved my stay here!!! The owner is super nice, showed us around, made sure we had all we needed. Room was cozy, perfect quiet location. Breakfast was fresh, farm to table, my kids loved staying here as well. We’ll be coming back soon.
