"Room and bedding was clean bathroom floor very sticky probably some type of cleaner they have used , staff were excellent breakfast was amazing , quite a few stairs if you’ve got mobility problems ."

"A lovely hotel with good amenities and in a great position for beautiful views of the sea and Abbey from our upgraded room. Maybe more choice of cereal and fruit on the breakfast buffet table but all good other than that."

"Breakfast full English was lacking in quality the bacon fatty with very little taste 1 large tomato undercooked eggs undercooked small piece of black pudding 1 mushroom when paying a premium price our expectations fell very short"

"Lovely clean room, everything you could need. First night was lovely, second night, which I know the owners cannot do anything about, but 2 smokers booked in and because we were near the front door, we were disturbed every 30-45 mins with them going out for a cigarette and being outside talking at 6.30am Saturday morning. Apart from that would stay again"

"The room was described as a “comfort room “ we loved it! It was surprisingly spacious enough, beautiful decor and soft furnishings. The bedding and towels quality were exceptional. Hospitality tray and outlook were lovely. If I had to give a small negative, there was a slight odour in the bathroom, from probably the cloths/ mops used to clean, a bit “ sweaty socks” type of odour which lingered. On another practical preference negative, the restaurant is beautiful, ambient and amazing service from the young well trained and mentored staff….but….the wine glasses were a let down, please provide sophisticated wine glasses? That would be great."

"Lovely little boutique hotel run by super friendly hosts. The rooms are quite something and the place is chock full of eccentric vintage finds, it has real character. We had a deep, luxurious bath in our room and the vintage glass bottle of bubble bath was a nice touch. We had the breakfast (veggie continental) one morning and it was delicious, lots of fresh little picky bits to eat and drink. It’s up on the cliffs with a lovely view of the abbey but still an easy walk into town. Just sad we didn’t get to try the cocktail bar!"
