"Positives were the quiet and convenient location, big fluffy towels, modern kitchen, renovated bathrooms, and comfortable bed. There were many negatives including shower and tub drains that had water coming up them during a heavy downpour. The drain smell was sickening. The carpets need cleaning. Upon arrival it was evident the carpets had not been vacuumed so I did only to discover the machine dust bag was full. It smelled of dog. "Unfortunately it was a cold and wet day when we arrived. After climbing a very narrow winding staircase to our apartment - some 40 or so steps - it was disappointing to find that the rooms were very cold as no heating had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival. After switching on the underfloor heating it did begin to warm up, but to add to the frustration this did not appear to work in the main bedroom or the ‘en suite’. A free standing electric heater was provided but wasn’t easy...

"We booked a short break to Whitby but when we got there we could not get into the property or contact the host. We ended up with no where to stay. It was a nightmare, and although we were refunded our money, I feel we are due some compensation for a wasted journey and spoiled weekend "

"Clean room. Good location, within 5 minutes walk to town centre. Only down side was that The lift wasn’t working on our stay and we were on the 2nd floor, it didn’t really both us but if anyone had heavy bags it would have been a struggle up the stairs. No communication from the host before our stay to say the lift was out of order.
