Wait is always over 1 hour and you can’t make a reservation. *pools are old and deep, deep. And only one entrance to pool. *snack bar personnel suck! They ignore people so they don’t have to serve you. *lobby staff are not organized. They gave our reserved rooms to someone else and kept saying they didn’t have anymore rooms. ...

"Very romantic hotel we went to as a family but I didn't know that. The location was wonderful, resort was unique, clean, staff were helpful and kind and the food was really impressive and good. We only walked through the nearby town on our way to the shoreline hike so no comments on that. Hike is a challenge if you don't have good footwear but we made it to the first beach and took a boat back. Their pool area is stunning and the grounds are very well thought out with lots of privacy. "We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff is what makes this property exceptional—especially Gaby and Antonio, who work in the pool area. They remembered our names and made us feel genuinely welcomed each day. The hotel is currently undergoing a remodel, so a few facilities, including one of the large restaurants, were temporarily closed. Note, that PV is a party destination and while staying anywhere you are exposed to loud music into the evening."

"We had an amazing stay at Costa Sur! The views from our balcony were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are nice and the air conditioning works great which is super important in Puerto Vallarta. There are deals at the bar area for those who like alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is by order only no buffet. The kitchenette area is small but everything worked well. I do recommend taking swim shoes for the beach area there are a ton of small rocks. It’s not possible to play in the beach area...
