Top Alva Hotel Reviews
Dakota Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"At first the building looks intimidating, but once you step through the doors the ambience has this dim intimate mood to it that is personally my style. I love the dark wood accents and plenty of relaxing seating. The room is spacious and clean. It’s close to the airport which made the last two days there less stressful knowing the hotel provides transport to the airport. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again"
Macdonald Houstoun House
8/10 Good
"Had a lovely spacious family room. Lovely well kept grounds and courtyard. Some areas of the hotel a little tired but appreciate it must be hard to maintain such old buildings. Spa staff could've been more helpful but reception staff were very helpful."
The Stirling Highland Hotel
8/10 Good
"The location is perfect. The hotel is an old building but has had money spent on it. We paid for half board, which worked out very good value. We got £35 towards our evening meal and a very good breakfast. My gripe with the hotel is everything is extra, parking £10 a day (we pre-booked through the company running it and it was cheaper.) The swimming pool is extra, breakfast not included in some prices too. However the food was excellent and it I would return. Staff excellent but like a lot of hotels now service for our excellent evening meal was slow."
Metro Inns Falkirk
8/10 Good
"Cheap and chearful beds were comfy shower extremely powerful could do with new carpets kitchen excellent Staff friendly and helpful"
Stirling Court Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel and room were very clean. The decor is a bit tired but it was all well maintained. The staff were very welcoming too. Great location to visit Stirling and ideal for the ParkRun on Saturday too."
Richmond Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was friendly and helpful, will return"
The Golden Lion Hotel
8/10 Good
"A clean hotel ideally situated in the centre of Stirling, no bells or whistles but perfect for a short break. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again when I next visit Stirling and would like to see the entertainment on offer"
Castlecary House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Brilliant staff hotel and restaurant clean room a little drafty in the night would benefit from smart tv, food in restaurant is beautiful"
Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"We had a great experience at the hotel and the spa was terrific. I recommend this hotel to relax and get a good nights sleep. Beautiful old hotel."
