Comfort Inn Sylva - Cullowhee

8/10 Good

"Good stay for the price."

Balsam Mountain Inn

10/10 Excellent

"If you are looking for a rural mountain stay this is the place for you. Built in the early 1900s it's kept to period in most cases with working transoms and antiques all over. They have a pub that has limited hours in the evening and every Tuesdays locals gather to play music and have a jam session. The views are nice and it's located half a mile from the Blueridge parkway. My only complaint was the shade in my room need replacing and was falling apart. Also please note they do not have ac or tvs so if you a a big fan of technology this might not be the place for you. Personally I don't care I travel to get away from technology. I stayed two nights and the food was good. contential breakfast in the morning nothing fancy mostly cerial and yogurt they stuff some mimi muffins. I think they do a big breakfast buffet on the weakends but I stayed in the middle of the week."

Wildrest Hotel

8/10 Good

"This property is ideally located near the downtown, yet felt nicely remote and secluded. Our room was nicely renovated and well-appointed. There was a nice combination microwave/convection oven and coffee maker. Plenty of counterspace. While there were some plates and flatware, for those wanting to cook meals it would be advised to bring cookware, utensils, and pot holders. Although there is no on-propery management, there was quick and helpful response by text and telephone. The section we were in had wooden stairs that might pose a challenge to those with mobility issues. I can recommend this property for those who wish to be off the beaten path, who enjoy a vintage vibe with modern amenities within minutes of everything downtown Waynesville has to offer."

Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Sylva Dillsboro Area

8/10 Good

"Room was okay. Beds very comfy. No body was in the bottle and I didn't know this until I was already in the shower, No hair dryer in the bathroom. FRIENDLY STAFF. Syrup all in the floor of the breakfast area. An orange cone placed near it, but no one cleaned it up while I was out there. People stepping in it and tracking it around. Fair location."
