Really enjoyed our stay at this modernized Victorian boutique hotel. Staff and owners were a major factor in making the stay so memorable. The updated property is immaculate, and has an excellent location in Keswick. Highly recommended as long as you don’t mind climbing stairs.

Wonderful bed and breakfast to stay during weekend getaways. I was a tourist from the USA and the property owners were polite, attentive and courteous. The room was spacious with windows overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend this location for you future stays at the Lake District!

This is a beautiful and cozy house, aged but well maintained. The host is really kind and nice. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, breakfast is fantastic. Kids love to play with the dog. Everything is wonderful, highly recommended.

Nice sized room. Matt was such a friendly host. Made my wife and I a great breakfast. Very convenient location to the Keswick market. Only a 5 minute walk. 20 minute drive to Grasmere village. We would definitely stay here again.

Hazel, Ian and Auntie Chris were wonderful hosts. We had a shared bathroom that was no problem. Beautiful old manse with attractive, professionally gardened grounds. Room was like out of a movie. My wife and I had a great stay at this property for a 4-day visit to the Lake District and could not have been happier. It's located on a quiet street of homes and guest houses, but is a short walk to the center of Keswick as well as my new favorite movie theater, the Alhambra Cinema, and our now-beloved local, the Dog & Gun Pub. Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. After a busy week exploring Scotland, my boyfriend and I decided to make a stop for a couple of day in the quiet town of Windermere to get some rest and relaxation before continuing onto our busy adventures down in London. This was a gorgeous hotel in a great location. We were able to park our car very easily and walk into town for dinner each night. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We had a great 3 night stay here.
