"We stayed at Murphy’s Resort with our 4 and 6 year old and had a great time. It’s an older resort that’s been updated, and it’s the perfect hub for a few days in Estes/RMNP. We felt very safe and our girls loved swimming in the pool (it was warm!) and playing on the playground. The best part was seeing all the elk that come through the property! The closest we’ve ever been to them! The front desk staff was really nice. We will definitely stay again!"
"We enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn in Estes Park. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, all staff members were kind, helpful and hospitable. The grounds were very nice and the room was comfortable and clean. Our daily breakfast was good and ample, with the hard-working and pleasant folks working in the kitchen being very warm. They always kept the place clean and the dishes full. We recommend to others and thank you. The location also was very good and we enjoyed walking to the Estes Lake Trail. The short drive to the Estes Park town was also quite convenient, as was the short drive to several entrances of RMNP."
"I read a lot of reviews prior to booking ! I’ve visited the Stanley 10 years ago and then again this week. So here are my thoughts. We enjoyed it , the staff was excellent.. Stayed at the Lodge , small no frills room. But , so what .. It’s a historic hotel ,.. It’s charming.. Door stays unlocked , no security , people are free to come in and out .. It’s located next to the Main Hotel ..
With that being said , Yes.. there’s a lot construction but it didn’t bother us ..
The main hotel is different ( to me ) it’s kinda dirty .. stains on carpet etc
the front of the hotel used to be all open .. Now , half of it is blocked with tables spilling over from the “ Wine Room “. The other side has futons. Most have stains etc .. The back of the Cascades use to have an open fire pit & a lot of area to walk around , plus a lot more buildings. This area is no longer .. it’s all closed .. There is limited space to sit or walk around
There is a maze and a little patio area but no seats
If you are going for the Vibe , Spooky Season etc you will enjoy. If your spending more time in your room then this may not be the place for you ."
"Our favorite place we stayed hotel wise in a two week trip. The staff were all great. The water feature next to the coffee maker was such a handy thing to have. The location was beautiful. Our first morning I was woke from a bull elk right outside our room. The lake sparkled and was a gorgeous thing to listen to the elk as we looked across the water. Location was great. Would definitely stay here again. Coffee pods were even decent and the lotion provided was great."
