A fantastic hotel with one of the best breakfasts - the bacon was top quality, thick and meaty 👍. Hubby was impressed to find poached eggs as part of the buffet and everything was piping hot (which is often not the case in other hotel buffet breakfasts). The whole property was in excellent condition and we found the room to be very quiet (even though the hotel was basically full).

Great location, great staff, fantastic building. A first class stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the Dixon team. The room was spotless, in fact the whole hotel was so well maintained and clean. Some great features maintained from the original building which add to the character, Special mention for Siddharth, who from check in to check out made the whole stay a real pleasure. Staff at The Dixon are extremely kind and accommodating! I was very tired from a long travel day and they got me into a room very early in the day which I greatly appreciated. This is a fantastic small hotel, lovely rooms and service. The room was extremely comfortable and a nice size, and the furnishings / finishings were lovely. I to a beautiful building as well with a fascinating history - visit the bar to see remnants of the old courthouse. The restaurant was closed when we were there, although the bar was serving a subset of the restaurant menu. Food was underwhelming and overpriced but you’re in the middle of foodie heaven in this area so there are plenty of options around.

Great on reception as offered flavored water and cookies! Also had early check in which was great. Our room was stunning but there was an initial bad drain smell. I suspect the room possibly hadn’t been used for a few days. After showering the smell went. Comfy bed and peaceful too! Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice too.

We had a fantastic stay! The room was beautiful and very comfortable, and the bathroom/shower was amazing.
