When we arrived they told us that the fire alarm got off so we had to use their sister location... I think that was just them overbooking the building and trying to cover it..
Luckilly once we were able to get to the room that we were supposed to be in, we were really satisfied with everything.
I had booked the hotel yet there was a note on the door to go next door to sign in. That hotel “ the four stars” only took cash and the put me in a basement minimalist room. Nothing than the image of the Pavilon hotel I booked. I really don’t know what happened but I left disgusted and disappointed. They did not offer refunds or explain why I was not put in the room that I booked. Seemed like a scam.

Small and simple but cozy
The room we got was called ”Enter the dragon”. It was very small but the interior made it warm and cozy. It’s not a high standard hotel but the interior added some mystique. Felt like being in a Harry Potter setting.
There was a very strange smell when 1st entering room stains on covers and curtains
The bed was hard on one side and wooden frame was higher than matress
The gentalman on reception was lovely and vert helpful.
Location is amazing for hyde park
Stayed here to attende a show.
Good location, not far from tube line.
Lovely quirky rooms.
Check in was lengthy as no one in reception or answering phones. Worried about security with keys left unattended.
Was hurried out of the room as soon as checkout time was being reached.
Would stay again.
The room was ok, a bed for the night.
Hot water was scolding hot, no milk for your tea or coffee, the mattress was just like one from a fold up bed your grandma used to have in the 80's. It was t-shirt weather so it was still warm enough at night. The hotel looked traditional to its era, then you went into your room and it had Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen from changing rooms written all over it!!
On arrival you are directed to another property 3 doors down. There are only 3 rooms and decorated poorly, not as advertised. Staff were friendly but you are definitely not getting what you paid for, a little false advertising I think!! They explained that there were "fire safety issues at the other hotel ...but looking at the reviews this is one of many excuses.
Another fantastic break at The Pavilion. This quirky hotel is in a great location for tubes/buses and you cannot fault the cleanliness or ambience of this little gem of a hotel.
It’s wasn’t even the hotel that I booked. It was in a different one altogether and they called it an annex. Mould on the walls stained linen. Terrible experience. Also threatened to cancel my booking if I didn’t go and get cash to pay. Unbelievable, Hotel.com remove them from your portfolio. The list goes on as to how horrible it was. I was unimaginable how bad. Avoid avoid avoid.
Check in was awful. Staff attitude was terrible. Was told to rebook on another website while stood at the check in desk, as they said their card machine wasnt working. Was told 'things happen, people die' when i questioned why it didnt work and they wanted cash in central london. Room was in another hotel to the one booked. Mould on the ceiling in the shower, limescale on the shower head. Hotel we were in was a cheaper rate than the one we booked. 2 single beds pushed together. Window fastenings were broken. Felt like they were trying to pull a dodgy deal with demanding cash.
The check in was awful, I was told I could pay at the hotel, and was then told the card machine didnt work and I had to pay cash. I was told 'things happen, people die' when I questioned this. I then had to rebook, at reception, through another website so that payment could be taken online before we could check in. The room was 2 single beds pushed together, the room was in a different hotel to what I booked, that had cheaper prices quoted on the wall, mould on the shower ceiling, windows that had broken clasps, the shower head could do with being descaled.
But to be honest, it was the checkin that ruined it completely. It felt like some dodgy deal was trying to be pulled and the attitude that we were treated with was awful.
Most disappointing, for what looks like an amazing hotel.
Very unique Bohemian style hotel - usually stay in a bland corporate type - it certainly isn’t one of these - it definitely has a style which I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed
When asked I never normally have much to say on the hotel but I do on The Pavilion and will happily recommend it
Always a great place to stay. Only 1 night each time but ideal for solo travellers. No frills but clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Hotel is 5 min walk from underground station that is direct ride into most visitors’ destinations.

Uncomfortable bed
Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. Just as well I was knackered or I probably wouldn't have slept at all. I could feel every spring in what passed for a mattress.
lots of athosphere, great pricing, had a bed and shower and a good nights sleep. added a pleasent surprise by great service and athmosphere!

Poor sleep
The hotel is as per the website, eccentric and unique. My dissapointment came from my poor sleep due to the condition of the mattress. Springs were popping out everywhere, it was very hard and uncomfortable everytime i moved it woke me up. All in all a poor nights sleep, please invest in some new quality mattresses.
The welcome was a hello, fill in a form and required to pay in advance. Shown over to another hotel and the desk to collect the key.
The room was downstairs, dark and not large for a double (could only get into the bed on one side), it was more of a single with a double bed.
No details for the wifi, no hairdryer and no breakfast.
Also not really impressed with the decor, although it is their selling point.
A little gem, brilliantly situated 10 minute walk from Hyde Park.
We stayed in the annexe to the hotel a couple of doors up. Great decor.
Staff were friendly and really helpful.
Would definitely stay again.
Cannot fault the staff or cleanliness. I had a single room,my private bathroom was on the floor below but room had a sink in it. I liked handing the keys back in whenever I went out, saves worrying about losing them.
My balcony doors had been painted shut so the reception guy had to force them open with a screwdriver, neither sink in my bedroom or bathroom had a plug, went to the loo after coming back from P!nk,bulb had blown so had to use my torch on my phone. Bed was so uncomfortable and squeaky,I didn't sleep,I could hear next doors bed squeak whenever they moved too. Location was perfect,I'm just glad I used my hotels.com reward towards it so I only had to pay about half. I'd have begrudged paying more
