I have been in Northern California for decades, visited Monterey and Carmel many times. For some reason, I never stopped to see Pacific Grove, right between the two. It is a beautiful place! Less crowded than Monterey, beautiful beaches and views!

The beaches in Pacific Grove are incredible. The atmosphere is quiet and full of nature. A 2 min drive takes you the great restaurants, coffee, and shops in the downtown strip. The drive to the aquarium and downtown Monterey is only 10-15mins.

I love Pacific Grove and have been dozens of times. My favorite spot is the entire stretch of Asilomar State Beach, where you can tidepool, look for otters, walk on the beach, or watch the waves crash into the rocks. Downtown is quaint.

The beach is beautiful, the town is quit wonderful, deer running around. The setting is beautiful.
"The bed was really comfortable and the room was very well furnished. I loved the Nespresso machine with the pour over tea kettle. Made a delicious Americano and didn't have to leave the room to buy coffee."
"We stayed in the Edith Head Room and had a magical time. The "partial" ocean view was more ocean than I expected, and the wood burning fireplace was very cool. The staff had the fireplace set with wood and kindling, all we had to do was light a match and enjoy. The decor of the room and common spaces was very cool, felt like we were in a nice museum. It was magical to wake up to the sound of the tidal movements and ocean birds."
