"Excellent location, right in the action, a block to 5th ave and tons of restaurants and bars. Only a few rooms in the hotel have been renovated to look like the pictures, mine was not, looked like it was renovated in 1970, but it was clean, no mold, no bugs. Bed was firm but comfortable, smart tv and good A/C. Big issue for me was no mini fridge. Ivan the manager was awesome, very helpful and kind. "The rooftop area was amazing and had a fun vibe to it. The entire staff was the best I’ve ever experienced at a place like this. Francisco was there almost everyday I was there on the rooftop area and he made it fun the whole time. Always provided amazing service and entertaining guy. Ricardo who works in the lobby bar was also an absolute pleasure to sit, drink, and speak with. He provided a lot of good knowledge of the local area and was genuinely great to have as one of the first faces you see walking into the hotel. The concierge desk, restaurant waiters, and cleaning staff were amazing as well. There are too many names to mention. Overall I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking to stay in Playa Del Carmen."
