"We were given an upgrade to larger room which was ok..but lots of stairs , as third floor and both over 60 lol but appreciated the extra space . Hotel was in good place for visting other places. The meal we had in the restaurant was yummy , i had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger. But breakfast not so good, bacon was hard as was streaky and it was a mix for scrambled egg which was not very nice , tin mushrooms and tomatoes needed cooking longer and sausage and hash brown was ok and beans .Fruit salad was basic was melon and apple maybe 5 grapes sliced in half in it . After restauant being so good was shocked with breakfast feeling so cheap. You also had bread for toast and spreads and yogs and cereal and usuall drinks."

"Solo for one night. The room was a good size. Bigger than expected and the bed was very comfy. Much needed after a 3.5 hour drive. The room was meant to have been a non-smoking room but it smelt like it had been smoked in, and there was also a stale, musty smell in the wardrobes. I found the kettle and cups tucked away in a drawer. There were no tea bags, coffee, sugar or milk. I tried to call reception/room service regarding this, but the phone was not working either. I was disappointed with this service. I have stayed here once before and never had any issues."

"My room was a Standard Room and in the “Courtyard” which is a walk along the side of the main property (no umbrella supplied if raining) and not so suitable for a single lady traveller if arriving back late at night. Bed was very comfortable and the first night I slept well, the second evening was noisy as it appears the room was next to a bottle bank. I was then woken at 06.15 by a “delivery” being made. I did mention the above to Reception but was sadly told “you booked a standard room” so I guess this means if you don’t book the higher level rooms, you’re not entitled to a good nights sleep. This disappoints me greatly. I also attempted to move to another room on arrival due to the out lying room but was told there were none available, I’m guessing due to the price point I entered with. The food was excellent, and the waiting staff good. The cleanliness in my room and bathroom was good too."
