"Standard of Housekeeping cleanliness in bathrooms well below par. Handling of complaints abysmal. Your duty manager appears to believe that because the rooms are ‘old’ customers should accept mould, scaling & improperly cleaned toilet. They did change rooms, 2nd room frankly not much improved with similar issues plus someone else’s hair on the shower wall.
I asked the receptionist for compensation, refund of 1st night should have been offered as they couldn’t move my room - or clean it to an acceptable standard, and a 2nd free night as compensation for that & for the room key not working. She told me that they can’t do refunds as I booked online. She did offer me a free breakfast, which I didn’t want & which was not anppropriate compensation for the state of the bathroom. I asked her to refer my complaint to Hotel Manager. They did not acknowledge or do anything about it. Whether she couldn’t be bothered to flag my complaint or the Manager couldn’t be bothered to address it I don’t know. Neither is acceptable.
