"The hotel is right in the middle of the royal mile and within walking distance to many sites such as Edinburgh castle, shops and restaurants. It was a bit noisy at night but the hotel provided ear plugs if need be. Would stay here again "

"Was not happy with paying 1800 dollars for 4 nights and they stuck us in the half attic. Very small half attic. Check in at 3pm got there at 10 till 3, made us wait 10 more minutes."

"I was in the girls dorm and it felt safe. I saw multiple cameras and locks on the way in. The lockers were a nice size. You need to bring your own lock but I was able to fit my carry-on, my backpack, and my 2 tote bags and I still had a bit of space. "

""Apartment" is overselling what is a wing of 6 dorm rooms with a shared kitchen and two bathrooms. You get all the noise (slamming doors, hearing neighboring 'apartment' conversations) of dormitory living - but the location is excellent for central Edinburgh."

"Worst bed we’ve ever slept in. It was like a bag of creaky, rusty springs. The property owners should replace it before they expect one more guest to sleep on it. There is no washer/dryer although it’s listed in the description. There is not much room for your things, no place to hang wet towels, no mirror close to an outlet for hair drying. These minor things could be overlooked if you had an acceptable bed to sleep in. The location is perfect and that is its saving grace. But I would not stay...

"Wonderful location but as it is a historical property there was no elevator, so the walk up 4 flights with luggage was a struggle! The view was worth it however!"

"I wanted to be close to our tour departure the next day and this was the perfect place! An 11 minute walk got us up the hill easily with no steps! It’s a beautiful place and really clean. This is my first experience with a place where you let yourself in, and being a novice, it took me a bit to figure it out, but once we did, we loved it! "
