"We had a lovely staycation at The Nici. The stay surpassed our expectations. Check in was easy, we were given the most beautiful room facing the sea and pool area. It had a lovely comfy new bed, sitting area and well appointed bathroom with bathtub and shower. We were totally blown away by the facilities, the beautifully decorated inside spaces and the dreamy spa with large heated outdoor pool were top notch. "A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"we had one of the mobility rooms so wasn't the best of rooms for us as we had a wet room rather than a bath and shower. we were told that it was fully booked but just wondered why we got that room. the food and drink was great and the bar and retaurant was a lovely area to sit in and relax"

"Restaurant “Crab” has supposedly great reputation. It was mediocre at best. Server (and apparently cook) didn’t know difference between two fish on “special of the day.” Ordered Sea Bass-got Bream!! Included breakfast buffet was ok but I suspect no staff member has ever walked through it. Cups and plates on tables but food on buffet other side of room - no plates or cups on buffet. When asked, waiter said “they’re on your table.” Lots of Verrrrrrry strong coffee but no cups. Water for tea...

"The hotel is situated in a quiet area just about a 10 minutes leisurely walk from the town centre. There is an adequately sizes car park for all guests, complete with two EV charging points. Reception is clean and open, and you are welcomed warmly. At night, you have to ring to get in, the night porter is there promptly, and if yo want a late night drink, the well stocked bar is open 24 hours! Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. "Good menu selection in the restaurant available. Service can be a little slower than normal when busy so keep this in mind. Staff were friendly and professional. Pool/sauna/gym facilities really good and well maintained. Overall pleasant stay. "

"Excellent location, within a short stroll of the river, ruins, bars, shops and eateries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to get a free hotel parking space very easily. The only downsides were, our room was next to the lift, so it was noisy as people returned to the hotel in the early hours, plus the pillows were incredibly soft and offered no support at all. That said, we would definitely stay there again!"

"Nice hotel in a prime location on the entrance of Poole harbour. It’s a little old fashioned and some areas feel like they’ve added to the building but not really thought about it like the access to spa is through the dining room. Rooms are nice but shower wasn’t very powerful. Food was good with really nice breakfast. Good for a short stay or weekend break"
