Amazing charmingly restored 17th century building in a stunning natural setting by the Piedmont Alps. This place is a gem. It is authentic to the Lake Orta area (near train station and a reasonable walk to the lake), but it is also welcoming to visitors from around the world. Nice family vibe but also would be good for a couple. The restaurant next door served a perfectly memorable dinner, and they also provided a delightful picnic lunch. Breakfast is regional--farm fresh. The room is modern, simple, clean. We would love to return.

We arrived in Zermatt by train, and the hotel provided free transportation from the train station. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. This property is amazing. It is near the Very center of town. Walkable to everything. It has a courtyard with loads of chairs for enjoying the outside. Holy Cow!!! What a find! Really, I can't say enough good things about the hotel, the staff, and our stay. The room was excellent, beautifully equipped, and every want taken care of. Our mini fridge was stocked daily with soft drinks, water, and a couple of beers. Coffee in the room was excellent. The decor was contemporary mountain and beautiful. The room, bathroom and entire property were spotless, the bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Mirko and his wife Daniella were very attentive and welcoming to my husband and me after a long flight from Phoenix Arizona to Milan and the drive to their lovely home. We were stuck here during the snow storm that hit Zermatt and caused the trains to be closed for two days. The staff did the best they could to provide entertainment, warm food and a place to say while we waited out the train. The hotel has great amenities, pool and spa services. Also only a very short walk to downtown shops and restaurants and the ski shops and lifts to the mountains! We will be back!
