"Day of arrival, there was no internet. No internet meant no tv. Okay fine. Quiet in room due to no tv and neighbors were loud and disturbing so we got our room moved. No elevators on property so we got moved to the 4th floor and to a smaller and dirty room!! The sheets on bed had holes in them. The lamps were dusty with dirt. There was a puddle of water in the middle of room under the bed because I stepped in it by mistake. When the internet finally started working, I tried making dinner reservations for each day of our stay and only ONE restaurant was available. I asked concierge to help make reservations but he told me it had already closed for the day!! It’s not my fault there was no internet and I couldn’t book earlier! I went to guest services for help and Nicole couldn’t care any less about helping us. Waste of customer service. First night in bed, I woke up around 2:30am to no tv and woke up sweating. Tried to turn on a light and was so irate because there was NO POWER!!! I was literally HOT/MAD because I wanted to take a shower from sweating and there was NO WATER either!! I would’ve taken a cold shower but no water at all. This stayed ruined my husband’s entire birthday and we don’t plan on visiting the island ever again."

"The room i was assigned the bed had blood stained we told the reception in the am we went out came. Back to the dirty room 1 hr to wsot for towel the toilet was clogged cuz we had no water."

"Room's were cleaned regularly. Most of the staff were nice and friendly except a few. Weilson at the reception was super nice and friendly. Food could be a little better. Drinks were endless but felt like alcohol was diluted a lot. So always had to ask for extra alcohol and then still wouln'd get the buzz. Once I knew the trick, I would always ask to customize my drinks. Snacks by the beach were adequate but pizza quality wasn't good at all. I had much better pizzas and snacks at a different resort in the past. VIP area snack and drink bar can improve a bit. VIP area had no issues with drinks but lack the snacks and most of the time ran out of foods and coconuts but for a relaxing private area with less crowd VIP area was amazing to relax and enjoy the beauty. "

"The room was clean and spacious. I had two balconies which was a plus! AC in the bedroom worked great and there was a fan in the kitchen/living room. Pool was great and clean for an outdoor pool. All staff were so lovely and kind. Always willing to help and check ur stay was going well. When u checked in the lady explained everything and walked me to my room. My flight got delayed and I was able to check out later for $10 thankfully and was told I could stay around the pool/social areas for as long as I liked while I waited for my taxi. Free breakfast everyday. I only went once but it was pretty good and servers were nice only 5min walk. Good location for pickups for excursions (easy to tell them it’s the bright yellow building). Restaurants nearby and minimarts. There was quite a few men hanging round the area nearby at night which I was cautious about at first as a female solo traveler who only speaks basic Spanish but nothing occurred and most were friendly/helpful. There was a roach one night after a thunderstorm but I just swept it out. Can’t expect anything else after that much rain. Beautiful part/hotel. Very colourful and even had cats and turtles. I would definitely stay here again! Exactly what I wanted! Not resort but not in the middle of nowhere. "
