"Really beautiful hotel. Garden is superb. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and clean. No possibility to eat on site. Closest restaurant is 8 minutes walk. For more choices, it requires a taxi to go downtown. No staff on site after 7 pm. Breakfast not available before 8 am unless you ask the day before (earliest at 7:30am)."

"My 12 year old daughter and I had a very comfortable stay. The room was basic but good. The grounds were beautiful -- I'd never seen a hummingbird in person before! My daughter enjoyed the pool, although it was small. The breakfast was excellent. And great service from the staff. Highly recommend!"

"I stayed at the tree house unit. Very secluded and totally surrounded by nature with no neighbors. A few bugs but that is to be expected with an open kitchen area and sleeping in a tree house. Would highly recommend for the more adventurous. They also have private enclosed cabine to rent with all the facilities required. Pool are was very nice and all of the landscaping was excellent. Will definitely stay again in the future."

"Bambuda is fantastic. The location is excellent with breathtaking views of the mountains & countryside. The food in the restaurant is excellent & there are numerous options at all times of the day. The service at the front desk & at the restaurant are prefect: helpful, friendly, & enthusiastic. Taxi rides from the hotel to a variety of destinations are easy to get & inexpensive. I had a cabin with a balcony. It felt like a cabin in the mountains but with strong hot water in the shower. "

"It's a little paradise, beautiful garden, great swimming pool, very well designed buildings and all self-sustainable. Augusto, Anita, Aragon! :-) and the other members of the staff made us feel very welcome. Special thanks to Rico, who showed us where we could spot the sloth; we would not have been able to find it without him. We saw cappuccino and howler monkeys, aguoties, hummingbirds, from very close. "Cool location in the lush jungle with walking paths and warm water! I only lost a little skin on the waterslide, but still so fun! The included hike to hospital point was surprisingly perfect. Nightime underwater glow worms were a trip! I didn’t book this room, but they put me in a sea urchin shaped upsides pool, it was cool. The second night I did get eaten alive by mosquitoes (from under the door and ceiling circle air vent wasn't a perfect closure. Fan was very needed, but still a bit hot one...

"We had an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. The room was amazing, great air conditioning with lots of room. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, Samuel, our bartender at the Tiki Bar was an absolute joy! For only $5 we were able to have our laundry done for us, and the private boat was able to pick us up right at our own dock at the hotel. BUT, the Aqua Lounge across the water was a nightmare. Almost every single night they blared music so loud that even a football field away...
