"This is an amazing hotel. The rooms are magnificent, and the setting is beautiful. We had dinner in the hotel which was very good. We would definitely stay again."
"Very welcoming reception from the host. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. My wife is coeliac and was well catered for. This B&B is ideally suited for the city centre, has close transport links and also provides on-street parking.
I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. "
"Great place to stay a short journey from Carlisle. Our second stay here. Room was fine, bed was comfy, shower was excellent and amenities like a Nespresso machine with pods were good touches. We also enjoyed a nice dinner in the pub."
"Very comfortable and well thought out room and welcoming hosts. Wonderful food and tranquil surroundings within good walking country and yet not far from Penrith. "

Nightlife and restaurants are in abundance and a good range of variety for different tastes however the shops available are pretty poor to what they used to be, only visited 3 and considering I was there for a Christmas shopping trip I was disappoint

Shame Tullie museum shut , it was pouring down and we could have had somewhere to pop in besides the shops. Some great eateries, parts of centre empty shops but that's the same many towns and cities

Clean and tidy with lots of attractions. Safe to walk round despite the high volume of traffic.
"The property is located in an excellent location, right upon Lake Windermere itself. The staff are all friendly and the breakfast is good. The beds are firm and uncomfortable for me but that might be a personal preference. "
"Everthing to our satisfaction. Lovely comfortable cosy bed. Room very clean and welcoming. Have stayed here on a few occasions and will continue to do so. Hotel is within walking distance to City Centre and minutes from the Railway Station
"
"Perfect find fir a few nights away with the bonus of parking in Keswick!!
Hotel was beautiful and certainly above the ‘stars’ given.
Bedrooms were massive and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were amazing and plenty of it.
Some decor dated bit the staff certainly made up for any of that. .. Kind, professional, knowledgable, engaging abd with a sense of humour. …. Certainly a credit to Hotel.
Hotel has recently been modernised bit nit lost its Victorian charm.
Definitely worth a visit "
"Oh my what a hidden gem for families. Massive rooms. Tennis court and massive pool. Decent breakfast choice. Didn’t stay for dinner so can’t comment. Would love to return "
