"I walked in into the room, the balcony was locked for safety!!!! The room was different in the pictures. Pool is closed, breakfast was not free I didn’t like the whole thing so I canceled and walked out"

"Everything about this place is above and beyond. Staff? Personable, gave great info about the area and highlights of the area. Very attentive. Graciousness-it’s not a category but it should be; small picnic basket at the door in the morning with a petite breakfast. Fresh fruit, mini quiche, a little cheese and sausage. Go to the first floor for a lovely pastry and coffee shop. Wine in the library with cheeses and crackers for a cocktail hour we would enjoy at 6. Then go to the rooftop restaurant if you’re not in the mood for a walk. Perfectly clean, beautiful rooms with great lighting, beds are the best."

"Great location. Beautiful, gracious hotel. Staff polite and helpful. Had a good dinner and breakfast at the Swamp Fox Restaurant on site. The bathroom was a bit small. Would not be able to accommodate a super plus size person."

"I booked through hotel.com and was a little confused as what exterior meant, I thought that maybe the room had an interior and exterior door. So when I checked in and was told I was in the building next door that had an exterior door I then understood. I asked the gentleman if I could switch to the building he said no because of how I booked. He didn’t try to accommodate me at all and the hotel wasn’t booked. The room was ok, the furniture was worn, the bathtub wasn’t to clean. The night stand was dusty behind it. The phone wasn’t plugged into the wall and when I did plug it that’s when I saw how dirty it was behind there. I couldn’t dial to the front desk from the hotel phone. I just wasn’t satisfied. I stayed the week before and the other staff was nice and friendly and the room was way better!!! I was too tired to take photos but I’m sure the hotel is aware of the condition of their hotel rooms."

"Almost afraid to write how wonderful this hotel is for fear the next time it will be booked up. Location is perfect for site seeing, restaurants and shopping. The room was beautiful, clean and the perfect size. We had a king bed , so comfortable. Plenty of towels and a new bathroom. The staff were so helpful and lovely. Dont miss the complementary sweet tea in the lobby. "
