"The landlord is very nice and helpful. The property is very clean and decorative. This is the most comfortable place during our vacation in Japan. Strongly recommend this wonderful house. "
"This place was awesome, excellent service, you feel the tradition in the place.
Breakfast was delicious, the tea ceremony was amazing.
The Onsen and the room were cozy and we left rested and renovated"
"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"It was very special experience to stay at Japanese traditonal house with my family. It was a little bit far from the main sightseeing site but we were ok because we had a car. Kinkakuji was especially awesome."
"Lovely 100-year old house repurposed as guest house. Modern additions such as air con and shower room added around original building with wooden sliding doors and futon beds. Lovely, helpful owners met us and showed us everything - thank you!"
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"Great boutique hotel, unique in its traditional structure of OLD Kyoto and yet updated with modern elements. Breakfasts are more snack like, complimentary evening cocktails is a nice way to end the day. "

"We ended extending by one night and the lady on reception made sure we stayed in the same room.
Very clean and a large room compared with other hotels during our visit to Japan
"
"Bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the property and adult fare is standard where ever you go around the area. Nijo castle is only 7 minutes walk, Nijo-jo subway station is 8-10 minutes walk, and only 2 minutes walk to the closest grocery store. I like how each guest have their own bed and there's 2 restroom that is separate from one another, which is good for a party of 6 people. No issue with asking a set of fresh new towels when staff is around in the morning. Wahers and dryers available at 1st floor for everyone to share."
"Excellent hotel. Very attentive staff and always someone who could speak English. Fantastic breakfast options with both Japanese and Westerns styles. We stayed 8 nights and did not get tired of the breakfast options. Room was spacious. Bathroom and room amenities plentiful. Very clean. Superior laundry service if you want to pay for it."
