"Check in staff was excellent. The common areas were visibly dirty - not vacuumed/smudged on surfaces/food and drinks left on tables and chairs. Our room was terrible - very small and smelly. Was not serviced either."

"Very average. No charm or character. Tired rooms and communal areas. If you get a deal its handy for pitlochry and exploring, the pool is acceptable for families."

"Great spot just outside Portree, convenient for all our day trips around the Isle of Skye. Rooms were clean and small, but had everything we needed. Only thing we wish would have been better was the WiFi connection. Breakfast was included and was very good."

"Nice location great staff"

"The room was lovely, clean and had a very comfortable bed. Wifi was not working. The sink was blocked. No heating was working in the room. The phone was not working to call reception about problems. Overpriced for what we received. I was planning to book a couple of weeks later in the year for work, but without wifi I wouldn't be able to. The response I received was that it's a big place to provide wifi for every room. I've stayed in better hotels for less cost."

"Loved this place. We got upgraded upon arrival and the room was gorgeous overlooking the river. Big large room and huge bathroom. Hotel was beautiful and loved being attached to the brewery to have cocktails and whiskey at night. Great location close to the city centre. Highly recommend!!!"

"The view of the Inverness Castle from our hotel room was amazing, the look changes with the clouds, the sun, the evening lights... The room was very spacious, a suite. It's a older building so the floor is not very even. The bathroom old tub is cute but not so practical for showers, you're wrap by the curtain and water on the floor."

"our room was very good but some parts of the hotel require modernisation Food was quite good."

"Beautiful place."

"The most friendly team from arrival to departure. Amazing food. Lovely bed and the seaview was excellent. 1 minute walk to Morar station"

"Beautiful location with welcoming helpful staff. Our room was excellent- and the castle history and ambiance was exactly what we needed to relax at the end of our holiday. The only comment is that the restaurant was good but not great. The potential is there but price vs product needs a nudge."

"This is a true luxury spa hotel. Great location, great facilities, health club across the parking lot. I had a large room in the older part of the hotel and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely superb and the bed was very comfortable. This would be a great place for more than a one-night stay!"

"Unique and and an overall amazing experience! Would definitely return - one of my favorite hotel experiences. Location, ambience, comfortable, welcoming!"

"Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel. Nous y étions début octobre. Les photos ne représentent pas du tout son état. Expédia a la responsabilité de s'assurer que les photos représentent bien les hôtels, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Très décevant. Le personnel était sympathique et a répondu à nos besoins, mais l'hôtel aurait besoin de rénovations majeures dans les chambres et aires communes. Sans compter les tapis tâchés et mobiliers désuets ou carrément brisé et douches brisées."
