"We booked to stay for the weekend in December for our anniversary and when we arrived after a two and half hour drive we found the hotel closed apparently for a refit. The hotel have not replied to my email and the phone number is not in use. We had to walk around at 7pm in the wind and rain looking for alternative accommodation which cost a further £100. Hotels.com still have not refunded my money"

"Absolutely loved staying at the Dairy Barn, it was so comfortable and Jayne our host had put a lot of time and care ensuring that there’s everything needed for a home from home feel. "Hmmm. It was okay for a night, a bed for the night… the breakfast was nice…. Unfortunately the room wasn’t that clean, there was stale water in the kettle, the bed’s weren’t comfortable, everything was just a bit tired, old and dusty. I didn’t sleep because someone came into the BUNGALOW WHERE THE ROOM WAS(!) and spoke really loudly on thier phone really late and because the walls were so thin, it literally sounded like they were outside our door. I was staying with my 10 year old daughter...
