"So when we checked in it was not the usual friendliness that we had received before It was very negative we did not have a room on the ground floor and we were told that we would have to upgrade yet again but this time £25 when I was told previously that it would be cheaper to upgrade at the hotel The first room was on the 3rd floor but had more steps so my husband really struggled and felt really poorly as he is not a well man We have been many times to this hotel and thought that they would have known this The first receptionist moved us to the room next door where there were no steps, but because we had a bad experience I requested to see the room first which did not go down well Whilst I was doing that no one went to see if my husband was ok !!! I was not very happy at all When I saw the 2 nd receptionist and explained all he gave me was a lecture about booking direct with the hotel and then they could possibly do something about it I was annoyed to say the least and stated that there were plenty of other places we could stay if they couldn't accommodate our needs and all he said was , " yeah you already said that" and was not even bothered cause he stated that a lot of people stay there We definitely need to really think of we are going to go back there as it is disgraceful "

"coffee was very weak, so we passed. There are lots of coffee shops around. Great location beautiful building. rooms so so. but not too important since we omly sleep there. Wiif and tv very slow."

"Friendly helpful staff. Clean room, comfortable beds. Decent breakfast choice. Hotel ideal for Leeds centre shopping and arena. Ongoing works on the 2nd floor and one lift still out of order but no real disruption or disturbance"
