Tewkesbury Park

Tewkesbury

10/10 Excellent

Our expectations weren’t high because this hotel was so reasonably priced, but The Tewkesbury Lodge was a pleasant surprise—the most beautiful place, with spacious rooms, helpful, friendly staff and delicious food, both at breakfast and at night. We constantly marveled at the views and the beautiful gardens, as well as the perfectly maintained golf course. Only downside was no elevators and no air conditioning, so just fix that by asking for a ground floor room and a fan. Definitely will return....

I had a cheap room but it was still a good size and the bathroom was a proper size, not a closet conversion as you often see in old houses. I only booked the hotel on a whim and was quite pleased. Oh, and the view is amazing. Territorial view for miles, over the tops of the forest and gardens on the hillside. The driveway is narrow and the parking a little crowded, but...

The Welcombe Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Stratford-upon-Avon

10/10 Excellent

Fabulous and historic property with interesting architecture. Like all stately home type properties some of the decor is difficult to maintain to a high standard, so there are minor signs of wear here and there and no aircon. The food, staff and service are very good, breakfast was of high quality. We didnt try the spa but seemed to be appreciated by those on a spa package. The grounds and garden were fabulous ,especially the view from the outside patios. Overall highly rated and most...
