"Pros: We chose the place based on the facilities rather than the location, so if you're wanting entertainment on your doorstep you'd be slightly disappointed. But for us, the villa was ideal, plenty of room inside, large swimming pool and excellent outdoor entertainment area including a pizza oven. Josephine was a wonderful hostess, very attentive and generous. Highly recommend a stay at Villa Mariavittoria if Sicily is your destination of choice."

"Location was very quiet, and the restoration done on the old Sicilian farmhouse was excellent. The room was very comfortable, though the bed was hard as a rock (as is typical). The shower was spacious with good water pressure. The air-conditioning worked quickly and efficiently. The owner’s dog was sweet, gentle, and well behaved. Our dogs loved the place (and owner’s dog). "The menu was fresh but was also quite minimum. We were happy with it. We would happily recommend living with Salvo for visiting Syracuse. The location is well located in the city in a quiet neighbourhood, importantly it feels safe. "
