"Absolutely amazing hotel, beautiful, spacious room, roof terrace, relaxation room, a quirky cinematic heritage. Some reviews commented on breakfast but I found it good- boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon + yoghurt, cereal, bread, pastries, etc. They also have GF bread and cereals if you ask. Terrific location- a couple of minutes from the swimming platforms which are open in the summer. Lots to do and see in the area, the little shuttle bus runs from a few mins walk away. Sooo many great restaurants and cafes nearby. Don’t think- just book it."

"Large older hotel, built in 1862 but renovated. Quiet. Situated in an historic park. Many bus tours stay here. Rooms are clean, fairly large and adequately equipped. Bed needs to be upgraded, mattress is hard and uncomfortable. Shower is in the bathtub, you need to step over the bathtub to access. Limited views from rooms. Convenient city bus stop not far from the main gate to access downtown and Ortigia. Free parking for those with rental cars. Breakfast is okay, typical large group buffet-style with chaotic frenzy to grab fresh items in limited quantities. Restaurant for dinner is okay but overpriced. Much better dining options in town."

"We arrived feeling stressed after the drive to the hotel! The lovely young lady on the front desk welcomed us with a warm Smile and arranged for the bartender to bring us a drink outside so we could soak up the afternoon sun and relax. We were served a delicious aperol. The decor throughout the hotel is very tasteful even the corridors to the room. Clean white walls but a hint of original brickwork showing. Comfy beds, crisp white linen. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Everywhere was spotless. Great breakfast and amazing service. Lovely location just opposite the pretty pebbly beach and around the corner from the lovely streets full of restaurants, shops and wonderful architecture. Would definitely return."

"Property is well located and staff was really helpful. If going in a rental, make sure you call ahead of time to register the car with the city and have a parking spot in one of the nearby garages. Parking is definitely scarce in Ortigia. The images from the hotel show a gym, that is a bit misleading."
