"The views from the hotel were outstanding. We faced Hilo Bay and loved the beauty of the property. I am diabetic so I would have preferred a breakfast that included some protein. The bread and fruit was nothing I could eat so I gave mine to my family. The coffee was great. I enjoyed the egg dishes I had in the restaurant. Everyone was friendly."

"Instead of driving home late we wanted a place to stay after going to the theater in Hilo. Dolphin Bay Hotel was perfect. Within walking distance to the theater, shops and restaurants made it a very convenient option. Our room and the entire area is very clean. Our room was airy and comfortable. Our host even upgraded at no extra charge. There was a complete kitchen and the shower and bath tub were great. "This was our favorite place we stayed throughout our two week trip on the Big Island and Kauai. The staff was very helpful and the room we stayed in was super cozy. It was private and relaxing. "We were looking at the Waipio Valley cliffs and ocean right in the bed! The view is better than the Outlook site which is half mile away. The scene is changing all the time, sunshine, hovering clouds, overcast, rain, and rainbow of all kinds, like one coming right out of the valley half mile away while the orchard is sunny and the cliffs under overcast.
