Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Qtr - Astor by IHG

Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Qtr - Astor by IHG

8/10 Good
"The staff at Crowne Plaza were amazing. We arrived early on Wednesday around 3pm and were able to check in immediately. Our room was very clean yet dated. There was a chair to relax in, a foot stool, a desk, and a desk chair as well, besides the bed. Although there were no ceiling lights, there were enough lamps in the room that it was still bright enough. The shower pressure was very low and made the stay a little less desirable. The bed itself was very hard which made for a difficult sleep for both my husband and myself. The area around the Crown Plaza was decent enough. It was right in the middle of the very busy Bourbon Street area. Food was extremely accessible and there were plenty of small markets to buy necessities from. As with all big cities and tourist areas, there are a lot of people; some drunk and having fun, some asking for money, some homeless wandering about. Even wandering around by myself around 9-10pm of so, I felt completely safe. There were a lot of law enforcement/security around as well which also added to the feeling of safety. Public transit was also easily accessible as there were 3 different Street Car stations just outside the hotel entrance. Although the hotel says that you need a key card after 11pm to access the hotel, we never experienced that. There was always hotel security but it seemed relatively easy to stroll into the main lobby. A key card was necessary to access the guest room floors though. Overall a fun stay."

Hotel Mazarin

Hotel Mazarin

10/10 Excellent
"Super hôtel boutique extrêmement bien localisé dans le Vieux Quartier Français, tout près de Royal st et Bourbon st. Vous êtes dans l’action mais suffisamment retiré pour ne pas être incommodé par le bruits des festivités tard la nuit. Hôtel de charme avec une magnifique cour intérieure, chambre spacieuse et très fonctionnelle. Offre un bon déjeuner pour bien débuter la journée. Je recommande sans réserve."
