"Everything about the property and beach was what we were looking for. Quite not overpopulated. We walked the rocks and tidal pools for hours. Staff was friendly and attentive. Small bar and restaurant on property was great. We will be returning."

"Great place to stay. Just the las 500 meters to the property you have to go on the beach sand and with high tide you can’t exit on summer. In winter will be worst."

Beautiful garden oasis in Guanacaste!

"I stayed at Nakanku Lodge from mid January to mid February 2024 accompanied by my little Maltese dog, Lulu. Everything was wonderful! The tropical garden setting was beautiful. I loved the pool and easy proximity to beaches. The outdoor kitchen was so fun as it generated opportunities for community and conversations with other guests. Gary was a super host! Hope to return next winter! Pura vida!"

Marbella vacation

"We loved staying here. The house was clean, plenty of room for 9 adults and a two year old, well stocked and close to wonderful beaches, great restaurants and things to do. It was nice to come home to an air conditioned house and refreshing pool after a day at the beach. We appreciated the use of boogie boards and beach towels provided. Beds were comfortable, WiFi and TV worked, and the view was amazing. We experienced the zip line and a chartered fishing trip, both within easy driving distance. We would definitely stay here again! Wish we could give it 10 stars!"

Private 3bedroom Ocean View Rooftop at Marbella

Beautiful Home/Perfect Location

"The property and manager, are amazing. The house is beautiful, private and offers the perfwct jumping off point to enjoy the surrounding areas. The pool and roodtop deck are definitely amazing. The manager is reaponsive and kind. He even went out of his way to bring my husband some aloe after he suffered a burn. The o ly downside is that the owners are not keeping up on repairs. We had very few exterior lights working, including the pool lights, and the garbage disposal was broken along with some general drainage issues. We have a septic at home and knew to keep solids out of the sink, but it was slow to drain and would backup into the sink when the dishwasher was turned on. The house is also very sparsely stocked as far as towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, etc. Be aware as stores are few and far away. Overall I would absolutely stay here again if the plumbing and electrical issues were fixed."

Brand-new home in lush setting with private pool & washer/dryer - near beach

"The house was beautiful and comfortable and the pool lovely. We regularly saw monkeys in the trees across from the pool and several beautiful birds and other friendly wildlife. It was extraordinary! We appreciated the privacy. Unrelated to the house itself: the public and private roads to get there were washboard dirt and gravel, so you need to be a very careful (and intrepid) driver. The place is about 8 km from Playa San Juanillo, a beautiful beach for snorkeling, and much closer to two beaches which are great for surfing. Jason was generally a responsive host and Santos and his wife Rosmery ensured we had a clean environment. Rosmery also prepared food for us the second evening (she offered to cook in our place, but we preferred that she cook at home and leave us the food) - and it was not only the best meal we had in Costa Rica, but was also very generously portioned - so we had great leftovers."
