"I really enjoyed my stay at Calea Tulum. The hotel is new, clean and very well taken care of. The room I stayed in, had a beautiful terrace. The staff was super friendly and always attentive. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop, especially the two palapas where you can just relax and enjoy some quiet time. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Awesome staff and location for a more localized experience walking distance to the center of town. Plenty of restaurants within the vicinity. Excursions and bikes available for purchase/rent. Bar and restaurant located here with pool. Bartenders were great - all 3 that I met - Jorge, Brian and another I can’t remember his name."

My wife and I had a wonderful three night retreat here. We were looking for somewhere quiet, where we could sit by the ocean and read and chill. This was perfect. The service was great and everything on the menu was delicious. We walked to the Mezzanine for Thai food one night, which was great! One day we took a taxi ($550 MX) to the strip and had tacos at La Zebra (also great).

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. I thought we were going to feel regretful for not staying at a beach resort, but I'm so glad we stayed here instead. We woke up every morning and hopped on the rental bikes and rode into town (and if you're ambitious like us- the ruins, the beaches, and the cenotes- all were a bit of a hike but worth it). Once back at Tiki Tiki, we'd immediately drop our stuff, jump in the pool, and grab a carefully crafted cocktail from the bar. The whole staff...

Quite possibly the most beautiful and relaxing stay I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay that is reflective of the natural beauty and environment of Tulum and not the all-inclusive resort side. Also the opportunity to see baby sea turtles climb the shore past my room at night is a memory I’ll have forever.

This is one of the most relaxing, beautiful, peaceful trips I’ve ever been on. This property is so gorgeous - the smells, the sounds, the food - everything was so amazing. I cannot wait to come back!! Everyone there was so helpful and kind, they are able to get a taxi quickly for you and more. Tulum changed me, and I have Una Vida to thank for that. Playa Esperanza is the perfect place to unwind, it’s super ideal for a couples getaway or honeymoon. All the staff is super nice and helpful. The only downside for me, it’s that not all of their rooms have AC, they’re an eco friendly hotel and there is no fridge, iron or hair dryer, and they shut the power for a couple of hours as they are running on generators. But I love that they care about the environment!

This property was not only beautiful but extremely convenient for a location. Close enough to the beach and the city, a perfect medium. Bike to the ruins or into the city. Taxi to the beach and they are all easily accessible. The gym and rooftop are beautiful and peaceful. The private pool I had was so nice I can’t wait to come back. They even provide bikes for you to use it’s perfect.

For the clothing-optional aspect of this place, it's very respectful, private from the outside and comfortable. The hotel is located in a very safe and nice, developing area with so many food options...
