"We loved the wayside whiskey barn. We had the twin room which was tastefully decorated. The whole place was real class. We had a full english for breakfast which was delicious. Emiko was a lovely lady . She let us book in a bit earlier. She went out of her way for anything that you would need. We would definately go back for a return visit."

Very informative and welcoming! Our dinner and breakfast host Manjo (I probably have spelled his name wrong) was GREAT! My wife has a dairy intolerance and he made sure at night everything was dairy free and he remembered the next morning. All the staff who waited on us we very pleasant, smiling and friendly. You...

"The location is absolutely breathtaking nestled in the heart of the Lake District, easy access to stunning walks. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was particularly good, impressive. Room was a bit chilly and shower not great, but you can’t have everything for such a competitive price. Bed was very comfortable. "

"The only problem I see to this hotel is the lack of its own car park,you need to use a public one. Every thing else wonderful......the people the food the communications. The National Express Coach if, like me you needed transport picks you up in the main street 5 mins from Allerdale. At the same stop are regular buses to Keswick and Penrith. I had a great time."
