"Been going to this hotel for over 30 years. It’s a bit tired now, rooms mainly. This said it’s still very reasonable to stay there & breakfasts are good with several choices. This stay the window was open in our room when we arrived -the handle was missing & it couldn’t be close. We couldn’t telephone reception as the phone wasn’t connected & said on the phone it was from room 136 -this wasn’t our room. Maintenance man didn’t come immediately as I was told so we waited a little while however my husband sorted the window so didn’t need maintenance & we advised reception as we left & about the phone not being connected It is a hotel that is used by workmen from what I can see so it is well used The public areas, bar etc are in a nice condition & inviting. I have found all the staff here have been pleasant & helpful Would we stay again -yes "

"This hotel is a little off the beaten track for me as I normally stay close to Fitzrovia in London. However, I wanted a hotel with a gym / pool, and this was situated an easy walk away from Westbourne Park underground station (a few stops on from Great Portland Street station). And what a pleasant surprise I had. This is a funky, fresh hotel with brilliant facilities. My room was a great size and included a small kitchen. The air con in my room was excellent and the gym is good enough for a solid workout. Added to this was a cinema room and pool (neither of which I used) and a fabulous canal side restaurant (the rolled lamb belly was unbelievable). This was all topped off by EVERY single member of staff being kind and considerate. If you want a hotel that is a corporate chain - this is not for you. If you want great facilities in a relaxed, non pretentious atmosphere, this is worth a go."

"Access down to reception via steps with no provision for a ramp for disabled or guests with luggage. Rooms clean generally but in need of redecoration. Attended an Indian wedding reception, and noticed that the only mirror was on the bathroom. Wife complained of no full-length mirror in the room."

"Fantastic location very close to Wembley stadium and train/tube station, very easy check in/out, deposit was refunded quickly. Reception area clean and tidy staff were friendly. Lift was rickety with the doors shaking as it went up and down but it was bright and clean. Carpets in the corridors tired and stained. The room was large and spacious air con was great and can be changed in the room although it resets back to the default setting when you leave the room for a while, room was clean apart from the stained carpet, bed and pillows were really comfortable, plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe, also a mini fridge and a safe which was handy although the fridge was quite noisy, room was well sound proofed could not hear much from outside which was great as the hotel was full of football fans but it did also make the sound of the fridge seem louder. Tea and coffee selection was ok, 3 types of tea bags and normal and decaf coffee but only 2 of each and only 4 milk pots. We had no spoon so had to go to reception to get one. A bit disappointing that we went to have a drink in the bar downstairs at 8pm only to find it closed! Which we found a bit strange."

"The property is really nice but you can start to see its age. The bar and restaurant were great, friendly staff and good food. Under ground parking is very tight to don’t bring any big cars. Overall great stay."

"Very convenient location for traveling around metropolitan London area. Breakfast at no additional charge is a bonus as not much food options available in the area if you’re starting day early. Staff are friendly and helpful."
