"The hotel is perfectly situated to what we like downtown. Every staff member was helpful & nice. We stayed in suite 3D. The King bed is very comfortable. The American Leather pullout is very comfortable (our son slept on it). We were going to bring our dog, they even had a bed and bowls for him, but our plans changed. The turndown service is nice to get new towels after being out a shower and clean towels are appreciated. The shops in and around the property are fun. The landscaping and courtyard are lovely. The new American Park nearby is great. Save room for brunch (12-3 make a reservation) in the Palmetto room on Sunday (we were too full after our Sat meals) it looked amazing tomahawk steaks, pastries, etc. One issue is there's a separate door to the toilet from the sink area, I felt like you had to back up into the toilet to close the door. But a door to the toilet is always appreciated."

"The breakfast was great! We got 2 complimentary drink tickets for happy hour each night and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were dated but being in the historic district we expected that. And they were very clean. We had a great a stay! "
