"The rooms a very unique and they property is beautiful. We had tiny bats roosting on our villa and it was fabulous to watch them swoop and dive over the river in the evening. The owner & staff were lovely although my lack of Spanish made communication difficult. There was few maintenance issues, and the room it’s self could do with a little love."

"The price is not worth what they offer. There was no ventilation or tv in the room. Just a very tiny desk and chair. Hot shower was not working, they had to come help and get it fix 30 mins so we could shower. If the price was lower I understand what they offer is limited, but not worth even the $60 the night."

"We loved staying at Rooms and Pool Macaws. It's a beautiful, quaint stay in Uvita. We stayed with our 3 children (13,6,3). The town is rural but that adds to the charm. We walked to the Whale Tale and other places downtown. My kids loved the pool, everything was very clean. We used the kitchen every day and it was so convenient to be able to cook breakfast for the kids and store some dessert for the evening. The room is simple but has everything you need. "Silvia and Ferdinando were excellent hosts. Silvia oriented us to the area and checked on tours. The property is a large garden with pool and outdoor kitchen for guests. The town is small and low key. You can walk to either beach entry. We ordered dinner at our host's Italian restaurant. Ferdinando cooked: it was wonderful. Three great courses. We were off season for whales so will try to come back to Dolce Uvita"
