"Fantastic room, comfortable bed, amazing shower. A warm welcome from the start. The rooftop is a definite wow factor. Great views, drinks and food. Heaps of different spots around to relax. We also used the restaurant which was good and ate breakfast there every day. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had. Great selection and good coffee machines. We used the laundry twice and were able to wash,dry and iron our clothes for free!! Love the social hub. It will always be my first choice when visiting a different city. "

"Our stay at Hotel Calimala was nothing short of incredible. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Florence, just a short walk from the Duomo, Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, and some of the city’s most elegant shops and restaurants. It made exploring the city effortless. The hotel itself was immaculately clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail felt intentional. What truly set it apart, though, was the service. Gemma was exceptional - warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Hotel Calimala will definitely be our go-to in Florence."

"Very central to everything"

"Upside is that breakfast was included. Dinner menu was limited in choice. There were no lighter options. For example; salad, charcuterie board. The gardens and view are spectacular. The walls are surprisingly thin. I could clearly hear people’s conversations as well other activities. Air conditioning was working well which was appreciated during the warm days. Shuttle service has 2 drops off locations. Michael Angelo (great sunset) and the second location brings you within 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Bring good walking shoes ! "

"We loved this hotel, it was clean, it was large, staff was the most helpful and kind, and it was so comfortable. We were finally able to get some really good sleep on our trip. The only issue there is no nearby transportation. Florence has a bus shuttle that has stops closer to other hotels that we found about later from a member in our tour group to Cinque Terre. Also they are doing construction work in the road in the area, so the taxis have to go around, making it more expensive. Beautiful views from the terrace!! "

"What I really liked about this area was how convenient it was—just a short walk from the train station, with everything we needed close by. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us a detailed map with suggestions on things to do and how far everything was. When I walked into my room, it smelled fresh and clean, which made a great first impression. The only downside was that one of my towels wasn't clean, but honestly, that was a minor issue. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again!"

"Spacious room. Great staff, nice upscale hotel. It's a bit far from the city center and not a lot of dining options right by the hotel. Need to walk to get to better choices. About 25 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio bridge, and about the same to the Duomo to give a better idea of location. If you don't mind the location I would definitely recommend a stay here"
