"All was superb EXCEPT for the vacuuming which left a lot to be desired. However the staff everywhere were supremely helpful and friendly. Thanks to our stay at The National Hotel, we were able to contact a taxi that took us to a very small area east of Dingwall to honour our ancestors, so we are still pleased and would stay again."

"Perfectly adequate for my purposes. Room was pretty clean - particularly the bed linen and the bathroom were immaculate. Service from the staff was excellent - very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you’re looking for budget accommodation this is ideal. "

"The property is a beautiful old house in a delightful historic village. The owner has decorated it with taste and style and everything is of the finest quality. The owner also goes to a lot of trouble to make your stay comfortable, providing breakfast early for us before we headed to the airport and phoning the village pub to see if they had a table before our arrival. I couldn't recommend it highly enough - 10 out of 10 is just not enough!"

"I spent one night at the Waverley Inn in Dingwall, while heading back from a work trip. PROS: friendly staff, clean and spacious room and bathroom, wifi works well, free parking available, excellent value for money, and there's the chance to use a microwave oven in the dinning-hall. Special mention for the microwave oven, I wish more hotels and guest houses offered that option! Cons: on the day I was there, the tv (and tv remote) didn't work; but wifi worked well. "Such a beautiful and unique hotel with a lot of charm and history. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The town of Strathpeffer is beautiful, quaint and peaceful. I am so glad I stayed here rather than in a bigger city like Inverness. Some of the interiors are a bit outdated, so if you are looking for something super modern and high tech, this may not be for you. "

"The staff, room and hotel was very nice. But I have to say the prices for a hotel in the Highlands was London prices. Also we took breakfast with the room and when we checked out, and I checked the bill, they charged for herbal tea, this was never explained to us. The lady at the reception took this charge off. "

"Location is great. Hotel room had very comfortable beds. The bathroom was huge with shower and tub, but looked out of space and empty. No railings or hooks for towels. No safe in the rooms either. We had a tour with the distillery with Richard who was fantastic. Breakfast seemed very disorganized and not a lot of options. Coffee also not as good. "
