"Now one of favourite hotels in uk. Staff made a special effort for my partners birthday and hotel and grounds are stunningly beautiful. Spa was great as was the food. Probably the tastiest sole I've had. Eating out in uk is too expensive nowadays but this was worth it"

"This hotel has so much potential because at first glance it’s absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, a few things really let it down during our stay. The pool area was quite grubby, with broken tiles in the hot tub and the pool itself looking dirty. When I mentioned it to staff, I was told they didn’t currently have anyone to clean the pool, which honestly showed as it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. Our room itself was lovely and nicely presented, but we were disappointed by the shower and bath only having lukewarm water. Other guests in our party also experienced the same issue and complained about it too. The bar area is really nice and decorated tastefully, which adds to the overall charm of the hotel. However, the ground floor toilets were also dirty, and across the two days we stayed I didn’t see any cleaners around at all. It’s a shame because the hotel could be amazing with better upkeep and attention to cleanliness and maintenance"

"Grovefield House proved to be a real gem for my wife and I. From the first impression of arriving at the well tended car park and entrance portico, then meeting the staff on reception, who were friendly and accommodating. The place has a nice ambience which is not over the top. It's just pleasant and easy to get along with. Our room was spacious and had a nice bay window overlooking the rear grounds. It was well appointed with a 'traditional' air to it. There was a bath with a super shower above. We loved the spacious grounds which we explored. Food in the restaurant and at RaRa's grill to the side of the premises was varied and not over priced. My daughter and family met us there on one day and they too were suitably impressed. Just a nice place to relax and also handy for exploring the local sites such as Clivedon House. We rated it..."

"The worst service. Location is a 30 minute walk away from High Street. Amenities were slim and poorly maintained. The restaurant is highly priced for food, coffee and beverages that aren't close to being freshly made. Some of the breakfast items were microwaved packages food, yet the cost was premium. Wi-fi is spotty around the grounds. Staff is truly unhelpful in every regard and will not go out of their way to assist you during your stay. There were many times that we asked for basic things, only to be met with a curt response and a poor attitude with an unwillingness to help."

"When we arrived, the man on the reception was very welcoming and kind. The room was clean and so lovely. I haven’t had a better stay than I had here. Me and my boyfriend loved it and the bed was so comfortable. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try out the hot tub but we plan too next time on our visit."

"Great! Room feels spacious. The kind staff accommodated our toddler with a high chair. Last but not least: it is super conveniently located for the Silverstone driving experience (bridge directly linking the hotel to the briefing area)! Would definitely come back for the next F1 Grand Prix !!!"

"Horwood House is a fantastic place to stay. The room was lovely, staff so helpful and attentive and the grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in Harry’s Bar and breakfast in 1911 restaurant and the food was wonderful in both. Would highly recommend. "
