"Had a fantastic stay in the Edelweisse suite for part of our honeymoon tour of the lakes. Room was spotless and awesome. Fantastic facilities in the room, difficult to choose between hot tub or spa bath, so alternated between the two. Batj may have edged it due to TV! Comfortable bed and sofa. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and brought to our room, and was delicious!"

"It is a beautiful hotel and all the staff was fantastic!! The room was amazing! Fiona at the front desk went out of her way to welcome us. A perfect person to start our hotel stay. Very informative and welcoming! Our dinner and breakfast host Manjo (I probably have spelled his name wrong) was GREAT! "The Castle Inn is situated approximately 4 miles outside of Keswick, it is surrounded by mountain views, fields and idealic views. The Bassenthwaite Lake is a 40 minute walk away, a Wildlife park is a 20 minute walk away and Dodd Wood Forestry/Osprey View Point is a bus journey away. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome, we're polite and answered any questions we had. Breakfast has a nice variety of food, the Tavern food was expensive but worth the big portion sizes, the leisure club area...

"I have no idea how I can rate the hotel for "Eco-friendliness"? What a daft question that is. Anyway, check-in was quick and friendly. The room was quiet, stylish and clean. I felt very relaxed. I didn't eat in the restaurant and didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on either. I would stay here again. The one negative for me was the marketing garbage I got sent ahead of my stay. An email saying "we have carefully selected some optional extras specifically for you", which then offered...
