"The Hotel grounds are beautiful. The staff were incredible. I booked this to celebrate getting engaged earlier that day. The staff was very kind and just as happy as we were. I am very confused by the negative reviews. This hotel was incredible. We did the set course dinner and it was great. Many unique foods we never would have tried. The breakfast buffet was great. I would recommend staying 2 nights here to fully enjoy the amenities. 10/10 if we come back go Hakone we will stay here again."

"A Truly Authentic Japanese Experience – Simply Unforgettable! Staying at Hotel Nanpuso was like stepping into the heart of traditional Japan. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in authentic cultural touches — the beautiful architecture, serene surroundings, and the warm hospitality. The traditional yukata clothing provided made the experience feel even more special and immersive. The hot spring (onsen) was absolutely relaxing, and the setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained. The entire hotel, from the design to the atmosphere, radiated elegance and tradition. Every corner of the building and its surrounding nature made us stop and admire. If you're looking for a true Japanese experience, this is the place. Just wow. Highly recommended!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hakone Airu. From the moment we stepped in we were treated well. They held our luggage for us before we checked in so that we could explore the town. Our rooms were very clean and spacious. The private onsen was amazing and we had an amazing view of the mountains. We felt very relaxed in our rooms. Our stay included both dinners and breakfasts for our two night stay. The dinner was amazing, the first night we had wagyu beef shabu and with the appetizers we were so full. The second night we had crab meat which was also amazing and plentiful. Both breakfasts were great and filling as well. Overall this was probably on the best places I’ve stayed at and would definitely come back again!"
