Yugawara Spa Ryokan Ashikari
3.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (56)
"Amazing!!! The service was awesome and the hotel and room felt very luxurious. Even the clothes they gave us to wear were very comfortable! The meals were plentiful but perhaps a bit too fancy/unique for us, and we are not picky eaters. The public bath house for women is also quite small (not sure about men’s), so we just used our private hot spring in our room instead which was perfect for 2 people to sit in at one time. "

Hakone Nanase
3.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (381)
"Such a nice place to relax and take a moment to enjoy where you are. Food was amazing and staff made you feel at home. Was one of my favourite places to stay. Bed was a little too hard for my partner but good for me. You wear your traditional Japanese pajamas throughout the hotel which added to feeling relaxed. I would recommend private onsen, I used it so much and so glad we opted for it."

"Stayed one night and a traditional Japanese room. The room was spacious (for Japanese standards) and clean. Balcony with View and sounds of the rushing river. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the onsen. Multiple indoor and outdoor bathing/soaking opportunities. We spent time in both public and private sections. Private was ¥2000 for 45 minutes. Also, a dry sauna, relaxing room, and massage chairs. Very helpful staff who gave a restaurant recommendation – – which was one of our favorite...

Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel
3.5 star property

"The onsen experience was fantastic. It's a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff services. We like everything about the hotel. The only thing we didn’t like was the long walk uphill from the bus stop to the hotel. While the hotel offered shuttle pick up from the bus stop, this information was not made known to us. We wish we knew to call the hotel to pick us up. Dragging our large luggages up the hill for 30 minutes was quite a challenge. "
