Top Lavapiés Hotel Reviews

The Central House Madrid Lavapiés - Hostel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were amazing! I truly believe that the start of a good vacation is how your hotel people receive you and this team was amazing for sure. Their patience with guests stands out most to me as I see they went above and beyond to help in any way they can. You can tell they were genuinely happy to help. They are an example of how humanity should be."

Radisson RED Madrid

10/10 Excellent

"We had a spacious room on the upper floor, very clean, with complimentary water and Nespresso pods which were replenished daily. We were impressed by the daily cleaning service, the attention to detail and plenty of clean towels stocked daily as well the coffee and cream pods. The AC was very quiet with a modern thermostat and kept the room temperature very comfortable. The location was great as well with plenty of restaurants nearby and in walking distance to all major tourist attractions. I highly recommend this hotel in walking distance to the Atocha train station and all the major art museums in Madrid."

Hotel Porcel Ganivet

8/10 Good

"The hotel staff were excellent and very responsive and helpful. We had an issue with the room safe where the batteries weren't working. Someone came up right away to rectify the problem but it turns out the battery cover was missing and the batteries were held in place with Scotch tape but the tape wasn't working well. Not very good and the hotel should have noticed this issue when it first occurred prior to our visit and fixed or replaced the safe. The staff member was extremely apologetic and added more tape so at least we could use the safe. The room was fine but felt spartan. They use LED light bulbs that are bright white so it felt like we were in an office setting with fluorescent lighting - not nice. Room was clean and spacious. Hotel decor/hallways/elevators are dated. The local neighborhood has a run-down appearance/feeling but is close to the city center. A taxi stand and hop on/hop off bus stop are close by. Breakfast buffet is average and you can get better food up the street at the bakery. Love the staff but we probably would look for a nicer hotel if we return to Madrid."
