"This property is conviently close to Kyoto station and Kyoto Tower which made it perfect for moving around Kyoto and taking Shinkansens to other cities. Its in a relatively quiet area near the train station but also has plenty of foot traffic near it which helped us feel safe and comfortable waling to the hotel at any hour. We also loved the delicious restaurants that were nearby that really made this stay a highlight if our trip!"

"Loved staying here for the cultural experience. It is very authentic - it makes you feel as if you have travelled back in time! There is a beautiful little garden and the o-furo is very relaxing. The futons were top quality super comfy too! The land-lady is very lovely and a wonderful host. She made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us with dressing in our kimono which we hired for the day. 100% recommend! "The hotel was very close to Kyoto station. The room was small, but the cost-to-space-to-convenience ratio works very nicely. There's a 7-11 and coffee shop right next door so early morning and late night food is not an issue at all. "
