"As an American traveler and a first time experience in Southampton, room2 was a very enjoyable experience. We had the room with the loft and park view. It was a wonderful room. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed prior to our cruise departure. The staff was very pleasant and gave us great recommendations on the area (Thanks Fernando!). We had just a brief stay but supremely positive. There are limited options for breakfast in the area so we opted for the lobby cafe and our breakfast was sublime. The only area of improvement I can suggest is the restaurant’s selection of wine. They had just two reds and the one we tried the evening of our arrival was…. awful. I do not recommend the pinot précoce. I am no som, but I’ve had my share and this wine was bottom 3 all time."

"It was fine for a night... but very hot in the room during the heatwave. Fan in the cupboard gave some relief. Only one set of towels for a double, not enough for two people wich unfortunately we didn't realise until the morning. It fitted standard room description well, it was fine for short stay and staff are friendly."

"The rooms are good and well equipped. However, breakfast was appalling with stressed staff who are slow and uncaring . Also, they kept voicing how stressed they were to the public! The breakfast food kept running out and was not replenished. It was hopeless. The swimming pool is nice, but cost an extra £5 per person to swim for an hour at a time. All in all massively over priced for what it is."

"Don't bother with this place, try next door. To be fair, there was an IT glitch that staff had to work around. However, while some staff treated me like a person—notably K, who told me she was from Ukraine—others did not. It seems that the management knows that this place is on borrowed time and wants to collect money for doing as little as possible. One member of staff wasn't even motivated enough to tell me the correct pricing for breakfast."
