"Food on the buffet, not enough seafood"

"Nice resort with friendly staff. Overall we had a great time. The animals throughout the resort were fun to see. Plenty of chairs at the beach. There were several issues that would make me hesitate to come back. We were in the adult only section. The adult pool allows people to save chairs which is something I dislike but if there were enough chairs it wouldn’t be such a problem. Twice we were unable to sit at the pool. I did ask if they could put out more chairs. Didn’t happen. Second the restaurant reservation system is horrendous. I was told to use the app. There were no open reservations for any of 6 restaurants for the first 4 nights. My daughter’s boyfriend was in contact with employee who was able to get us reservations for several nights. Restaurants were ok. Nice change from the buffet which was pretty good. We had teenagers in our group but no young kids. There are activities for both. Seems very family oriented. I would recommend for families with kids but there are better options in adult only resorts. We’ve stayed at several others that I would recommend. "

"Amazing stay, beautiful rooftop pool , perfect and safe car parking. Front desk staff super helpful and Very polite. Chose this hotel because of its easy access by car. 10 minutes drive from Playa Fundadores, where the main action is. Perfect Hotel if you rent a car and explore By yourself the Mayan region. The Rooms are big and beautiful, we had a beautiful view on the golf course. "

"a retreat in the jungle. A place that embraces its natural surroundings yet providing first class comfort. It is located within Xenses so make sure to follow directions given by the hotel staff. Gps does not work well for shuttle or taxi drivers so give them directions directly from the hotel. Fernando was the best concierge/ hotel host we have ever had! They go above and beyond to make your stay and trip are the best. All the staff were phenomenal! Breakfast is included which had made to order eggs/omelets and fresh fruit with a croissant. We opted to get dinner delivered to the room and it was a great value for the portion size and tasted amazing! Our room had a kitchenette which was a nice surprise- microwave and fridge just no stove; it would be great for those who wanted to stay awhile. Our room also had a front porch with a couch and hammock- such a nice hangout spot. It is located very close to Xcaret and The staff walked us to the free shuttle service which was less than a 5 minute walk. We will definitely come back here again. "

"Pros: the beach was beautiful, breakfast was pretty good, the rooms were very clean and the grounds well maintained. All the wildlife at the resort was a bonus for our kids! Our kids really enjoyed the white party at Tequila on Friday night. Cons: the food options for lunch and dinner were pretty terrible, other than salad or fresh fruit, birds were eating off the buffet and people’s plates at the buffets, people leaving their towels on deck chairs all day to reserve them but not use them (making it hard to find a spot at times), and the entertainment was pretty terrible (they tried but honestly my daughter’s year end dance recital was more well done) - timing was off, music was off etc."
